1. From the nasty lightning strike Wednesday night, 6/17, around 10:20 PM, the electricity is Stuart went out in a flash. Little did I know at the time how close it really was. I would like to extend a great job well done to the city utility crew, Doug, Gary, Chuck, Ben, and Dustin, all who worked very hard for the next 2 hours trying to get everyone back up and running. It was good fortune the light pole was the target that night.

2. Hi Nate, I really looked forward to the rants and raves on the website. Once you required e-mail addresses, I don’t see that anymore. This site is dying a slow death.

4. Hi Nate, I would just like to throw this out. The administration (Jennings) and the whole baseball situation is a mess! We have a coach that does not give a crap about the team. The administration gave him 2 weeks because his wife had a baby? He didn’t do anything. Most GUYS are at work the next day! Still gets paid and was not at any practises. He has no personallity and is a control freak. Saw him the other night with the game tied 5-5 in the 7th. You would think that he would fire up the troops? nope, sat on his bucket and made a horrible pitching change. the coach needs to go. He will not have a team next year, nobody wants to play for this guy. We got rid of Glenn and the Van Meter teams have improved every year. That is because of the administration and athletic director. No one at the gate to charge people, this is a joke! Hopefully Long will address the problem and get things ironed out.
