A couple new things…

So apparently there’s a question as to whether the 20-year old cop can legally enter a bar, and this will be discussed at the next council meeting. My question is…why do we even have a 20-year old cop? And better yet, why did we hire a 20-year old cop before he’s attended the academy? This reminds me of a situation that I’m all too familar with here in Kansas City. My beloved Royals always seem to grow players through the farm system only to lose them to the richer teams later on. Is Stuart like a police grooming place for other towns? Are we wasting time training and paying for these officers when they’re just going to leave for greener pastures as soon as they can? Are we hiring poor quality officers because they’re the only ones we can afford?
In other news, the school Superintendent Mr. Rogers is leaving for greener pastures, somewhere in Illinois. I don’t know him, but the word around town is that he won’t be all that missed. School admistrators seem to be dropping like flies…
…just a few things for everyone to think about.
On a personal note, I’ll be making a brief appearance in town this weekend so hopefully I’ll see some of you out Friday night.
