It was only a matter of time!

31-14

Congratulations to the football team. I don’t have any details about the game except that I heard cousin Zach scored a touchdown. That would be one more TD than I ever scored in a varsity game.

Keep up the good work fellas!

  1. I haven’t heard anything about the game yet, other than this. Are you kidding, did we WIN???
That would be awesome, a great way for the kids to start the season.
Maybe this Jennings character is the real deal.

  3. Yes, congratulations Coach Jennings and the Wildcats! Finally, the streak is over!

Also, I want to congratulate former coach Jeff Pease for all of his efforts in the past to help the current players improve their game.

Both of my boys played under Coach Pease and despite not winning very many varsity games, they came out as better human beings. They were not traumatized, but found out that hard work DOES pay off.

Again, great job guys! Best wishes for the rest of the season!

  5. I knew that Coach Jennings was just what we needed to prove that our boys have the talent to win. Coach jennings showed our boys how to play as a team and to get rid of the attitudes. I knew that our boys could do it. The coach just had to make them believe that they could do it. jennings can recognize the talent and when, where and how to use their talent.
The offense played as if they were a well oiled machine. The defense might still need to have some tweeking done, but they looked better at Panorama than they did at home the week before. The key is to try their best and keep getting better. Way to go boys! Congradulations to the wcv coaching staff. They have learned to be a team too. I always say that you should lead by example. Coach jennings seems to be doing just that. I don’t think Pease or Pauly ever listened to the “Fresh, young, new, Assistant Coaches. They said because “we don’t do things like that, we do it the way we’ve always done it.” How discouraging to the young staff. You know The ones fresh out of college that have just been coached by college coaches. I’m so glad that we finally got some new blood in the head positions of our coaching staff. How exciting that our kids finally won a game. just think not one of the boys on this current team have ever experienced victory in football at the high school level until Fridsy night. What a feeling!!!!!Good luck at Mo Valley. It was awesome to see so many WCV fans at an away game. I haven’t seen so many WCV Fans at a game for about 6 years. You know, the last time when we were winning.
    See you in MO Valley.
