Now what?

The election is over (congrats to Cory and Jim). The school-IRS thing is old news. Division Street will be done soon. 5×80 Realty will be moving to their new office next to Subway soon. The sign next to the library is almost finished. The new Napa Auto store is nearing completion. What’s the next big thing in Stuart, Iowa?

The storage units south of town were the subject of a recent police search. Anyone lose a 4-wheeler lately?

Winter is approaching quickly, if it’s not here already. Any predictions on the first snowfall? What’s on your Christmas list? I’m hoping for a girlfriend from Santa.

I’m just looking forward to Christmas break… oops, I mean winter break. I’m also wishing for snow days, but no more than 3 so I don’t have to make them up after Memorial Day.
Interesting to hear this: A search warrant was not obtained to enter the storage units…..
Well, as said be careful what you wish for dude!! Now what? I’m guessing more about the school, the city council, the results of the votes, definitely more about the school and the cast of characters running it. I want a drought, winter is my favorite time for a hot spell and drought.

if you look at nate’s pics on rubyspubonline, 2/3 involve you or are just you. yes, you can say you are “just good friends,” but i’m not seeing many of his other friends… or parents… or sister… or anyone. being someone who is from the outside looking in, i’d say he has a thing for you. hey, i have nothing wrong with that. you’d make a cute couple. but, it’s just an observation.

with all that sarcasm kcteach, sounds like you already know he is in *love* (awww) with you. I don’t know which is sadder – you ignoring his feelings or him still carrying a torch for you. poor nate. i hope you (nate) get a lot of girls applying for the “job.”

If only the IRS was old news to everyone. I for one have onlybeen aware of it for a week. And how easy it is to make it go away. And how convenient it would be if that was the only issue we the school staff ever had with Lisa. BUT we all know that is not the truth. Don’t we Arnie and the board?? Insurance has alway been an issue for Lisa also. For some reason she has no problem deducting the moneyfrom our checks but there seems to be an ongoing problem with remitting the deducted premiums to the proper carriers. IE our health coverage and now our Aflac coverage. OUr Aflac agent is Vern Tigges. I’m sure he won’t elborate on it but he had to bust his ass to keep our coverage in effect since LIsa did not remit the premikums to thecarriers. I know several people who give her checks for $1,0000 for health coverage and then go to the pharmacy to find out they don’t have coverage cause the premiums have not been submitted. Make all the excuses you want ARNIE you knew this but did NOTHING!!!!
My problem with the school IRS and other financial situations is the message it is sending to our children. The is an educational center that is saying it is alright to not do your job and it is no big deal if you hurt other people in the process. So that must be the philosophy of our teaching according to the head guy. He is the most disrespectful of his employers as any person I have ever known of. Let’s see that our children learn more than just their classroom experience, but also learn that real life needs competent and caring individuals that do their jobs well.
Well isn’t it nice we gave a good recommendation and she can go on to another school district and screw things up there too. Then when they look back they can say thanks go WCV for such a great employee. I wonder what the school board members who have teachers as a spouse think about all of this. I wonder if they talk about it at night.
I have to agree with a recent blogger that says we must not be included in the CHARACTER COUNTS PROGRAM at WCV. Our super and board lead by example and they sure are lacking character!!! I find it amusing that no one had any coments to the blogger who made the obvious statement that they leave their balls in the kitchen drawer every morning before leaving for work.
