One-Tank Trips

Stuart made the first list of one-tank trips in the Des Moines Register today. Actually it was White Pole Road but close enough. Check out the story here.

What a treasure you have in Iowa. For a mere tank of gas, we have had an experience through Adair, Casey, menlo, Stuart and Dexter!!
The people we talked to along the way were friendly and obviously proud of their town.
In our state, you do not see such pride in a city. Whatever you are doing, just continue it with a grand purpose.

What’s going on? You sure have been slow to update this blog. Has the smoking ban had an impact on your bisness yet? You should get a class action suit against the legislators and Gov Culver. They discriminated against you and all other bisiness that had been allowing their patrons to smoke, with the exception of allowing smoking in cassinos.
By the way, I have lived in the surronding area for 40 years and I have never stepped foot in any of the drinking establishments, except to eat at Lincolns. I don’t intend to do so either. I am a Member of MADD. I feel that patronizing bars would be a conflict of interest. I think that instead of banning smoking in bars that they should ban bars and alcohol!
