Stuart, I will see you this weekend!
June 15, 2006 |
I’ve been looking forward to it since last June and it’s finally here…Good Egg Days! I’ll be showcasing my skills in the 3-on-3 basketball tournament despite two clear disadvantages:
1) I haven’t played for a year and a half.
2) I dropped a washing machine on my foot yesterday.
So chances are I’ll be done early and have plenty of time to rest and get ready for the street dance and Stone Thro.
For those of you who are following my “career,” there are some new links on the right with my Herald columns, most published but some not. If you haven’t read them yet, take a look and let me know what you think.

So how’d the 3 on 3 turn out? Did you get lucky and kick ass?
of course
Good Egg Days can sometimes be a dissapointment compaired to when Jerry Vitzham used to get a carnival here. What happened to the watermelon feed and the free fried egg sandwiches? Yes there are many activities, but not like the good old days. I always enjoyed fireworks, mini golf, the fireman’s steak fry, the back seat driver’s lawn mower competition, the Good egg toss, Smokey Bear and so much more. At least we still have the parade and the firemen’s waterfights. Now they even have a set up for th kids. The decorated baby diaper and the baby beauty contest is fun. I enjoy the acts on the stage. I remember that there used to be 3 full days of activities and fun. The street dance is fun, but hard to keep the under age kids from drinking. Too bad that Good egg days is now called Good Egg Day.
