I bet it's all Redfieldd's fault that the milk is spoiled. They get all the good stuff. Isn't that who we are always blaming for the problems of this district?

Menlo is probably spoiled way before the expiration date. They sit it out when the kindergardeners gp to lunch and leave it untl the fifth graders are done. They don't leave it in the cooler. They let it get warm, put it back in the cooler, then repeat the process the next day. That is not good. Would you drink your milk if you left it out all day?

And parents are assuming the milk and food their kids is getting is freash, If a teacher is saying skip the milk, then there is something wrong. They wouldn't say that for no reason.

The 7 day rule used to work on milk but has not for several years now. It is sour by the expiration date or day after.
I better tell my kids to check the date before drinking. I know I would have a sour taste in my mouth all day if I drank sour milk. Yuk!!
Our kids deserve better.

And if it gets older than that, shake it up and use it like sour cream, or buttermilk, less a lot of the butterfat of course. Aren;t we spoiled. I often wonder how people managed with only a cave dug in the ground to keep their products cooled and they didn't even have pastuerization or other ways to purify their foods.

If milk is kept at the correct temperature it is usually good up to 7 days past the expiration date. That's the general rule on milk.

Here's a fun-filled fact about student life in the Menlo elementary. The students are being served expired milk. Now, I'm sure the "powers that be" (Sloss) figured the kids wouldn't notice something like an expiration date even though it's printed in plain site on the carton, but ohhhhhhh how she is wrong.

This has been going on for at least a month and it's got to the point where several teachers are telling the kids that they might not want to drink the milk during lunch. I've heard of at least one girl who felt ill after drinking it but you know the rules of the cafeteria - you can't leave until all your milk is gone.

I just thought it was time for other parents to be told. Isn't it just a quality school and admin we have over there?

Ya at the laslt bond issue the board president was asked how many students we have in the high school and he did not know. Yet he was leading the pack to build a bigger than needed building and again it failed. They need to wake up!!

Why does the superintendent interview the applicants for School Board Secretary and not the School Board or at least the Board President? Does he pick someone he can manipulate? Does he know her? Is he the one running our school district? Why do we elect board members? Do the board members really know what is going on in our schools or just rely on someone elses interpretation?

I agree totally 7:23. There's a few, maybe just one, that loves to call names and tell people to leave if they don't like to hear the truth or facts that they don't like to admit too. So you're right, they should pack up and catch the next bus and quit their flaming people who have a right to an opinion other than their own.
On the subject of the school board. Until you get a different board pres. you aren't going to see any different action from Mr.Davey. He is going to get away with all he can and then some. He is bound by the freedom of information act to give accurate, complete information. He needs to be in jail, let alone gone.

6:38 Why is it when someone speaks the truth such as 4:24 they are the ones being chastized. Maybe you could look for a different county and catch that bus!

4:24pm.. Sounds like you need to catch the next bus out of town. If you don't want to live in a progressive town you might look into a rural address.

idiotic retoric???????????idiotic retoric???????these blogs are full of nothing BUT! Cultural center is nothing but the ultimate goal of project resore to get the people of Stuart to restore that old burned out church that has sat there for 11 years rotting. Talk about good money after bad? Nothing but retoric got this passed. Lies are now on the table on how it is to be paid for. It isn't only the school board who's trying to hoodwink the community, the city council of Stuart is doing some pretty nasty stuff on their own. What a mess. Stay tuned for all the idiotic retoric you can stomach in the coming months. Sooner or later in order to both pass a school bond AND get an aquarium to go with that half million dollar bath house not to mention the things that are mandated like ADA compliant buildings, we will need a freaking magician!!!!!! Jerry V's vision of Mayberry isn't going to come soon. Like it or not.
