Weekly Recap

March 9, 2007 |

I’ve been a little bloggaly challenged this week so I apologize. A buddy’s father passed away, and I came back for the visitation and funeral, so I haven’t been in front of a computer since Wednesday morning. I will get to all the School Board/Superintendent sucks, Broman sucks, I suck comments in due time. But for now the only message I want to deliver is this:

Spend quality time with someone you love this weekend.

You never know when someone you care about won’t be around anymore. We lose touch sometimes with how precious life is, and we get so caught up with the little insignificant things that we forget to look at the bigger picture. Take a deep breath and step back from the “issues” this weekend. Hang out and watch a movie. Go the the musical at the high school. Take a drive through the finally-replowed-today streets. Come to Ruby’s tonight and have a beer with me.

Whatever you do, take a break from complaining and enjoy the things you have. Tell the people you care about that you do in fact care about them. Appreciate your time with them while you still have them to appreciate. But most importantly, have a good weekend.

  5. I was waiting for this post! Thanks for reminding people that life is too short not to live each day as if it’s your last! Nate, I’ll be there at Ruby’s and just in case you forgot, I care about ya! :)

  15. Nate. You are in town at the right moment. Council meeting is Monday. You should stay and go. See what they are really like since you’ve never been to one before. Then you can see if the members are the vicious, underhanded vermin your friends at the IEye wants you to believe. Plus, it gives you the rare opportunity of getting the info first hand instead of having to go begging for info from your readers.

    Come on. I dare ya.

  21. Ahh! Now you tell me. I could have made it last night but I can’t go tonight. Already have other plans and I’m getting ready to go. I’d cancel but it’s with my bf… he tends to take top priority at the moment. Sorry. Next time, maybe hawkeye can give us all a heads up before he comes out.

Anonymouse, thanks for telling me though.

  25. I DARE YOU TO COME TO THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING. I WONT BE THERE BUT YOU WILL BE. FIRST HANDLE KNOWLEDGE WOULD BE NICE. BRING YOUR FRIENDS FROM THE EYE.

  27. Nate is unusually quite. He’s usually more vocal when it comes to people commenting directly to him. hmm

  29. Give him a break. He already said he wasn’t around a computer all weekend. Let the guy spend some time with family and friends and enjoy life a little!
