  21. Let up on the middle school Have any of you talked to Mr. Rideout? I think proably not!! Like I said I have a child over there and we have no problems maybe because sahe goes to school to learn (as) I think Rideout wants them to do. I know going from Menlo elementary to Redfield (where) you actually have a principal walking hallways etc real involved coaches ETC. I think the Redfield MS rocks and yes I am from STUART

  22. Anonymous on April 7, 2009 3:45 pm
  23. The Menlo principal is walking the hallways, at recess and in the lunchroom. Plus she is able to do her job very well.

  25. 9:26 if you want to talk about redfield go to another post we are discussing the new wildcat den here. Sharon Sloss does her job well and my daughter adores her. You don’t get the picture. Ridout has no problems with GIRLS…His problem is with boys and I know first hand if there is nothing wrong with him why is the Governor’s Office, the Senate and the Iowa civil Right’s Commissioner’s office, involved? Now gee they would not feel the need to do there own investigating if it was just whiney parents. Enough said go to different blog.

Did anyone notice the window and door coverings to the new wildcat den?? I think there trying to surprise us..I hope it looks great!!

  27. Why are you calling it the wildcat den? I prefer calling it the cyclone. It was named that after the stuart menlo cyclones and things would be a million times better if it was still the stuart menlo cyclones and we wouldn’t be on this blog arguing about everything possible.

  29. Hold that thought 8:21, let me go make some popcorn because this is about to get good!!

  33. same to you 9:37! Get your popcorn and kick back and watch these WILDCATS make these towns better!! :)

  35. So I take it they are gona take down the cyclone sign? And if Menlo/Stuart were still the only ones in this district we would be FINE!!

  36. Anonymous on April 8, 2009 12:55 pm
  37. WCV PRIDE!!!! The past is the past, all we can do is move forward!! WCV PRIDE!!

  38. Anonymous on April 8, 2009 6:34 pm
  39. It was named Cyclone Drive Inn about 25 years ago. It is not like it was named that after the towns consolidated.

  40. Anonymous on April 8, 2009 10:04 pm
  41. I like it called the cyclone, it represents the memory of the stuart menlo cyclones and it also reminds us of the iowa state cyclones. Redfield has the dexfield diner and pub. Why don’t they call it the wildcat diner and pub.

  42. anonymous on April 8, 2009 10:05 pm
  43. Sorry if I offended you 6:34 I wasn’t meaning for it to be an offending comment. i was just wandering if the sign was going to stay the same,

  44. Anonymous on April 8, 2009 10:45 pm
  45. Wonder if the same people will work there? I am meaning Capie and the rest of the gang! I sure hope its not trashy kids

  46. anonymous on April 10, 2009 6:49 am
  47. Isnt there a “hang out” for kids in Stuart- that place next to — that hair cut place across from the Stuart Paper? Not that I’d ever let my kid “hang out” there, but – is the “cyclone” going to be a “hangout” or a eating joint!?

Are you an IDIOT? They were not talking about Redfield, but our WCV Middle School! It is important that we know what is happening at every campus of our district. This is not the kind of thing that is Good for our communities, our school district, our students, our teachers and our support staff. This would not be an enviroment that would condusive to learning. Hell, I would avoid the place if it was possible. It would be impossible to do that if you attended school there or worked there. My heart goes out to the people that forced to tolerate Rideout’s explosive behavior. Maybe he should be medicated.

  51. My heart goes out to the faculty that have to tolerate some of the parents explosive behavior.

  52. Steerburger RIP on April 21, 2009 11:33 pm
  53. Long live the hamburger specials and 1/2 Cyclones for a buck! I owe much of my future coronary blockages to that place. I do hope Joyce’s pie recipes were part of the sale– they are worth at least as much as the building.
